Matteo a une formation jazz (il jouait du saxo à l’adolescence) mais à la fin des années 90, il a été capturé par la culture rave et a commencé à être DJ puis à produire de la musique trance vers l’an 2000.

Loopus s’est forgé une réputation pour le son “funkédélique”: un mélange de psytrance et de sons disco funky … C’est en fait plus (ou moins), un croisement libre total d’influences avec un feeling électro, progressif, jazzy, mélangé à la discipline sévère de la psytrance: un esprit qui tourne la psychédélie joyeuse avec une bassline puissante.

A la fin de l’année 2017, Loopus sort son 6ème album “JAZZ MACHINE” où il pousse son style croisé EDM vers des ambiances plus jazzy. L’album est une dédicace d’amour pour tous les grands artistes de jazz du passé. Loopus a joué jusqu’à maintenant dans presque tous les coins du monde et a développé un live + djset mélangé avec une tâche particulière: amener lentement le dancefloor dans une atmosphère détendue, joyeuse et funky pleine de rires et de sourires… Pour cette raison son ensemble fonctionne mieux en début de soirée ou en matin ensoleillé à l’extérieur ou à tout moment dans les clubs kinky ….

Matteo has a jazz background (he used to play sax in his teen years) but in the end of 90’s he was captured by the rave culture and started DJing and then producing trance music towards the year 2000.

Loopus has established himself a reputation for the so called “funkedelic” sound : a mixture of psytrance and funky disco sounds…there’s actually more (or less), a total free crossover of influences with an electro, progressive, jazzy, circus feeling blended with the severe discipline of psytrance: a mind twisting happy psychedelia with a running powerfull bassline.

At the end of 2017 Loopus has released his 6th album “JAZZ MACHINE” where he pushed his crossover EDM style towards more jazzy environments. The album is a dedication of love to the all the great jazz artists of the past. Loopus has played up to now in almost every corner of the world and has developed a blended live+djset featuring a special task: slowly bringing the dancefloor into a relaxed, happy, funky atmosphere full of laughs and funny smiles… for this reason his set works best in early nights or sunny morning at outdoors or anytime in the kinky clubs….
