SITARSONIC est un projet de fusion Electronic & Sitar. Il est dirigé par Paco Rodriguez qui a commencé à apprendre le sitar en 1994, à Varanasi (Inde). L’Electronic est Chill out & Dub est coproduit avec Ethnicalvibes.

Suivant le soleil dans un “Never Ending Tour”, le projet soutient Paco dans sa vie nomade.

LIVE: Paco se produit seul, en jouant à Sitar, en chantant soutenu par de l’electronic. Sitarsonic invite parfois des invités à se joindre tels que Jovishnu, alias Mr Pink, Soundscaper ,French Tourist ou le coproducteur Sam Lfo d’Ethnicalvibes.

SITARSONIC a 3 bases … Anjuna (Goa / Inde), de décembre à mars, Matala (Crète / Grèce) et Festes & St Andre (Pyrénées / France) Sitarsonic travaille également avec des danseurs de fusion Tribal, chaque fois que c’est possible…

SITARSONIC a un “Godfather” célèbre le producteur de musique et cinéaste Duncan Bridgeman (One Giant Leap, Hecho à Mexico …). Il a enregistré, en 1999, les quatre premières pistes du projet, au cours d’un week-end dans les Pyrénées françaises, où Paco vivait dans une communauté bouddhiste. En 2000, Paco a commencé à travailler avec Thierry Sabir récemment rencontré dans sa ville natale, Bordeaux. Ce duo est devenu SITARSONIC et une période très créative a commencé, 3 CDs ont été produits: “Sitarsonic” en 2000 (inclut Duncan, sur quatre titres), “Pharmakon” en 2003 & “Ethnoticus” en 2004, l’année suivante Artpop (Bordeaux), sort une compilation des 3: “Aditronix” (2005), suivie d’une série de concerts en France. La même année Paco s’installe à Goa (Inde) et commence son projet d’ethnofusion KUNDALINI AIRPORT, qui est depuis très actif en produisant environ 50 concerts par an et en lançant 10 CD en 12 ans! SITARSONIC a donc ralenti pendant un certain temps et seulement deux “Best of” ont été lancés: “Sitardust” en 2006, et “Museland” en 2008. En 2010, le projet est devenu “solo” et de nouvelles collaborations avec Ethnicalvibes & Newom ont débuté, prolifiques et très créatives, permettant la sortie de “Indus Reverb” 2010, “Tomorrow never comes” en 2013, et “Unidos” 2014. Décembre 2016, une nouvelle collaboration avec Ethnicalvibes a été publié “Radio Mantra” avec la chanteuse mystique Sihanama comme invité sur 4 pistes. SITARSONIC have a famous “Godfather” the music producer & film maker Duncan Bridgeman (One Giant Leap, Hecho en Mexico…). In 2000, Paco started working with Thierry Sabir recently met in his hometown, Bordeaux. This duo became SITARSONIC and a very creative period started, 3 Cds were produced: “Sitarsonic” in 2000 (includes Duncan,s four tracks), “Pharmakon” in 2003 & “Ethnoticus” in 2004, the next year Artpop (Bordeaux), released a compilation of the 3 : “Aditronix” (2005), a serie of concerts in France followed. The same year Paco moved to Goa (India) and started his ethnofusion project KUNDALINI AIRPORT, which has been since, very active performing around 50 concerts a year and releasing 10 cds in 12 years ! So for some time, SITARSONIC did slow down and only two “Best of” were released: “Sitardust” in 2006, and “Museland” in 2008. In 2010 the project became “solo” and new collaborations with Ethnicalvibes & Newom started, both prolific and very creative, allowing the release of “Indus Reverb” 2010, “Tomorrow never comes” in 2013, and “Unidos” 2014. December 2016 a new collaboration with Ethnicalvibes was released “Radio Mantra” with the mystic singer Sihanama as guest on 4 tracks. May Peace, Peace and Peace be everywhere.
